    Behavior Intervention & Therapy
    Licensed Play Therapist on staff. Outpatient services to children and their families when behavior becomes a problem. Fees depend on type of therapy performed and the session length.

    Child Care Programs
    Fully-integrated, quality childcare to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years (pre-kindergarten), regardless of abilities. Outpatients can be older. Childcare costs depend upon the age of the child.

    Therapy—Occupational, Physical, & Speech
    Speech/language, play, occupational, and physical therapies to children enrolled in Good Shepherd as well as outpatients. Services also performed in client’s home.

    NOTE: Many agencies provide a recreation component. The Recreation Council can direct you to appropriate services.

    Childcare
    The Recreation Council of Greater St. Louis offers an after school/extended day voucher program for residents living in St. Louis County. This voucher program enables working families to obtain for their son or daughter, ages 13-21, after school services which will meet their unique family after school care needs. Families can choose between, or a combination of, in-home, out-of-home, and/or an organized after school-program services. The funding assists the family to address a portion of the costs of their after-school services.

    Independent Supported Living - Providing any or all supports necessary for persons with developmental and or physical disabilities to live independently in their own home and the community of their choice.

    Pre-employment
    UCP Heartland’s Employment Resources Program supports adults with disabilities in finding and retaining competitive employment. The Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP) offers high school students an opportunity to obtain work experience prior to graduation.

    Temporary Residential Support

    Oak Tree offers short term stays for people with physical and/or developmental disabilities who live in St. Louis City and Jefferson, St. Charles, & St. Louis Counties. Open year round. Emergency residential services are also available.

    Therapy—Occupational, Physical, & Speech
    Adult Day Services - Day habilitation offered at two locations (Manchester & Olivette) and in the community.  Participants learn skills that promote their independence. Speech and physical therapy assessments and services are available.
